Indian Ayurveda and herbal medicines are the world’s oldest and most well-documented knowledge-based healing systems. To make this medicinal system acceptable as per current global norms with the backing of current tools of research, the Vanaushadhi trust has been doing some commendable work in this field.

Vanaushadhi trust is engaged in four major activities, namely, plantation of medicinal plants, production of Ayurvedic medicines, R&D, and research on exclusive topics like malnourishment and conducting events like seminars, conferences, and workshops for health awareness. With 22 acres of land at disposal, Uttan Vanaushadhi has more than 500 medicinal plantations, more than 25 Ayurvedic products, a 5000 square feet research laboratory, and a yearly timetable of regular events for Shubh Ayu.

There are nearly 500 herbal plants within the large campus of Keshav Srushti, some of them being rare species. The herbarium takes care of classifying and storing the data about these herbal plants. This herbarium and the data it has is being used for study and research by the trust and is also made available to Ayurved and Botany students who visit the laboratory on study tours.
