Bhringaraj – भृंगराज
➢ It is an annual herb which is erect or prostrate with rooting at the
nodes.
➢ The leaves are opposite, sessile, simple, dark green in color, oblong
to lanceolate in shape. The leaves are rough with dense hair on both
surfaces.
➢ The flowers are arranged in a capitulum daisy-like head
inflorescence. The flowers in the outer rim of the heads are called
ray florets which are white and the ones in center are called disc
florets which are green in color.
➢ The fruits are black achenes which are winged with two short horns.
